Be very careful reading big profits in this product for treating mastitis in dairy cows. I would like to see more clinical trial data and biochemistry before getting too excited. It states in the website that the product is "non-therapeutic" i.e. can't be used to treat. It may well be useful as an adjunct to treatment that may shorten the use of antibiotics? But antibiotics are still necessary to treat. Certainly mastitis is a major problem in the dairy industry and very difficult and complex to treat. I can make the above statements from the point of view of a veterinarian of 40 years experience and having at least 6 generations of dairy farmers in my genes. Dairy farmers are mostly very wise and a difficult market.
