I reckon it will take all of those five years and some more before this stock and the sector start to consider commersialisation. I got on board GDY in 2003 for $1 and held on up to over $2 then rode it back down until I finally got out at 80c in 2009 for a 20% loss over 6 years. no it was more that that because I added to my position when it was above $1. either way this thing looked good 8 years ago, and now it looks worse. Not meaning to down ramp but I think there are so many other better opporunities out there than this one. If your interested in clean energy go for uranium explorers/developers, I reckon they will give much better returns over the next 5 years than geothermals will give.
