ive got CKF in my portfolio as i needed some consumer discretionary for diversification. Also chicken being an inferior good, i thought with decreasing living standards in oz, people might be consuming more KFC.
having held for over a year now, it does seem like a poorly run company, failed expansions.
its interesting to hear your CKF history and management relying on productivity gains,from a production line cooking style rather than increased sales / marketing.
Also who opens stores in the Netherlands, they should be opening in, China, Indonesia, Turkey, Pakistan, Bangladesh some country with a large population, who need salty fatty food.
good call about the analysts querying business decisions and self analysis of what went wrong, rather than just querying financials.
personally i think ill cut and run from my CKF holding, once i decide where I can reallocate for a better holding.
i think very much like CKF management, I have misallocated my funds.
