I thought I'd raise a new thread specifically for this topic as it'll get legs sooner or later.
i am likely participating in the SPP, but only as I liquidated a majority of my holding when the SP was falling from 21c down to 19c. Hence I can artfully delude myself this is acquisition on the cheap, rather than 'good money after bad'.
But I appreciate its not that simple. I'm not overly across the whys and wherefores of the offer, as my focus has been elsewhere than STX.
So to start with, can anyone outline the process and key dates? My understanding is a SH vote is needed to support the notion (SPP), a bit galling considering SH were not afforded any such influence over the disastrous (imo) equity stake to CVN.
is the vote postal? what are key dates?
i appreciate the SH limit ($30k per SH), but what's the issue price? Will it be indexed against VWAP into the future?
Ironically, CVN will have a major say in this. I can only imagine them voting it down, unless the SP is at a sufficiently high price.
