    Thanks afternoon crew.

    End-of-day summary:
The share market took a breather as most of the major miners and banks posted modest falls.
Following back-to-back record closes, the ASX 200 declined 12 points or 0.15% this afternoon to 8831 despite a positive night on Wall Street.
CBA, NAB, Fortescue, Rio Tinto and BHP all shed less than 0.5% during a low-key session before the full-year earnings season hits its stride. ANZ and Westpac edged up less than 0.3%.
Apple provided much of the momentum as US stocks rallied overnight. A 5% gain in the iPhone-maker helped lift the S&P 500 index 0.73% and the Nasdaq 1.21%.
