The country’s border chief is seeking answers after revelationsa Hamas sympathiser was granted an Australian visa.
Palestinianwoman Mona Zahed has been living in tents with her young family for much of the22-month war in Gaza – a conflict triggered by Hamas’ October 7 attacks onIsrael in 2023.
The Herald Sun revealedon Friday that Ms Zahed praised the attack on social media at the time.
She secured a visa withthe support of Melbourne artist Matt Chun, who claims to have raised tens ofthousands of dollars to help Ms Zahed, her husband and four children securevisas.
His name is Matt Chun,real name Matthew Jones. Chun is a NSW-based illustrator and author ofchildren’s books. (Yikes!!)
Australia's main arts fundingbody, Creative Australia (CA), has played a role in supporting one of the mostvirulent public campaigners against Israel and Jews within the Australian artscommunity. He has been awarded grants even following his
poisonous advocacyagainst Israel and Jewish causes.
His activismshould have disqualified him from receiving a grant.
