I don't think it's as embarrassing as when the "Man of steel" used to go over and ingratiate himself with the "Chicken Hawks." A mutual admiration society where everyone was puffed up with their love of country and the military, but all were too spineless to serve in Vietnam. As Cheney used to say "I suppose I just had other priorities."
