Your right it is hard to get your hands on information. Also right there are large areas with poor well control. They do indicate in this report they have a database of 150 wells and exploration reports from the 70's and 80's. They also show where they have well control and highly prospective ground.

I think the thinking behind the Logans line is flawed. Many early proponents had taken hold of the biogenic methane enrichment we see in low rank CSG plays. Further study though shows thermogenic sources are capable of being the primary/only source. Just like CSG though biogenic sources tend to be more permeable and thus easier to exploit. Because the bugs need water, CO2 and nutrients supplied to them.

Commerciality though is another issue altogether and this is what needs to be proved.

Its all still up in the air with the BAPE report looking like a moratorium on drilling will be imposed.
