well the bad news is that the U power plant shut down the diesel generators failed the back up batteries ran out the factory plant exploded
that leave the rods still reacting and the techs pouring coolent on them buy the bucket as theres no power and pipes to control the flow
the area for evacuation was 5 km then 10km and now 20 km if theres another announcement for 50km then like the old tee shirt says sit down put your head between your legs and kiss your arse good bye.
forget climate change - as it has nothing to do with this its about the 2nd law of physics = centrifugal forces the cause of most of the earths changing problems
however if things pan out and not too much fall out then globalisation WILL occur as they will move climate change into making countries conform to standards so they dont screw it up for the rest of us. ie global warming then climate change and then globalisation.
Having said that and reading other posts in ESG that say there is no fracking in ESG and so this bodes well for the SP
AS Quebec has yielded to public outcry against shale-gas development and announces a slow-down of new drilling permits. [The concern is over 'fracking', a process of fracturing deep rock formations to release gas trapped there, because that also releases toxic gas into the air and underground water. It is believed that the government is stalling and buying time so it can produce a rigged study showing that fracking is 'proven' safe.] The Gazette 2011 Mar 9 (Cached)
