plough..I think to label it scaremongering is a little naive..If these scientists are getting conclusive data which shows there is the potential for such events and the one down the coast of the West US is a time bomb and has been known about for a long time therefore closely watched..
It comes down to perception how you interpret the info..It gives the smart ones heads up and a chance to prepare IN CASE it happens.. I vividly remember being called a dooms dayer and given the nickname 'Morbs" back in 06 When I was telling friends and family to get out of real estate and into the monetary metals..laughed at a few times too..
I was the ONLY one to do it at the time and you can guess who's laughing now..doesn't need to be panic but caution and preparedness can save lives..
