If concrete in a multi story building is 19% stronger and 19 % lighter then:
You can build a building the same strenght as a current concrete building with 19% less concrete...
But if that building is now 19% lighter than the old style you could asssume that it does not need to be as strong because it is now much lighter (19% less load by weight)...
Presumably there would signicant more savings to be made as a result ...perhaps another 19%?
The long term implications are huge when you consider that there will be a significant reduction in the cost of producing nanotubes/strands with increased economies of scale which would certainly happen if this becomes an adopted technology in construction.
