Around 34% of IFN is owned by 3 hedgefunds - TCI, Kairos & the LEO fund......All 3 have an average holding price over $1 so all 3 are loosing a bucket load of money in IFN. In my view the question is not whether but when they will make the move on IFN as the only way they are going to be able to get any significent portion of their investment back is if they takeover IFN fully and then strip out its assets.
TCI have already used the 3% creep rule to increase their holdings in IFN from 20 to now 23%...the next window to buy 3% more on the market starts in April right? Will they make a takeover offer for IFN after they buy 3% more on the market post April? TCI already have a director on the board of IFN so they have an inside view of the company....
