Overbought technicals & extreme sentiment measures over recent weeks were warning of a market selloff. The events out of Japan have intensified the selling pressure.

Those pundits who proclaimed a buying opportunity just last week have been silenced. We've since experienced the first panic selling stampede since the flash crash. That was a buying opportunity then, but if a change of trend is indeed unfolding it should be confirmed soon enough.
