1. If the 'display' surprised Oz - I'd personally 'race' to modernise the intelligence community. ----------------- Like if they really didn't see this coming - where in fact were they looking???? and at what?

2. What do we expect any 'modernisation' to do?? Make it that Australia can defend itself if China were 'aggressive' -------

far far far far better to actually invest to build a nation - AND, to be in good relations with China - AND to stand as neutral if the USA is stupid enough to fire up a military conflict with China
