“De Grey Did It from 1c... Could NMG Be Next?”

Not here to ramp just sharing a view that’s been forming as I follow NMG more closely. I can’t help but feel we’re seeing some early-stage De Grey Mining vibes emerging here, and it's worth a closer look.

Remember, De Grey was once a 1-cent stock until the Hemi discovery put them on the map. Strong drill results started flowing, sulphide mineralisation showed real depth and scale, and suddenly the market sat up and took notice. They grew from a small explorer into a multi-million-ounce story and were eventually taken out by Northern Star for $5 Billion but not before their share price climbed well over $2.00.

Now, I'm not saying NMG is DEG $2.0 but there are definite parallels.

As of today, NMG is no longer just an explorer - they’re already producing gold, trucking ore to WGX’s Bluebird Mill 36km away. That puts them ahead of most juniors straight away. At around 5,000oz/month at 4g/t Au from Crown Prince open pit alone, that’s a solid start. What’s more interesting is what CEO Alex Passmore said just yesterday at the Beaver Creek conference based on current drilling, he sees the mine life at Crown Prince doubling once underground operations begin. That’s not speculation that’s management setting expectations based on what they’re seeing in the ground.

Add to that Lydia and Abbotts - both with granted mining leases - expected to come online and contribute another 5,000oz/month. That would effectively double current gold production and stretch the mine life well beyond the six years currently forecast only just yesterday. These aren’t theoretical projects - they’re real, permitted, and in the development pipeline.

Then there’s Airstrip announced this week. With the latest results coming in strong, there’s now talk of NMG building its own processing plant to support what could become a long-life standalone operation. Personally, I think we’re looking at the early signs of a 8-15 year mine life, if the trend continues and that kind of horizon could reshape the company completely.

The grades are there. The gold is flowing. The infrastructure is in place or already being used. And importantly the company has strong institutional support, not just retail speculation and with the top 20 share holders in NMG holding 69% of the share register. It’s not common to see a junior producer with this kind of runway, operating momentum, and development potential.

Why hasn’t the market caught on yet? Could just be timing - same thing happened with De Grey. It takes a few catalysts to change the narrative, and NMG might only be a drill result, a resource upgrade, or a mine life extension away from getting the attention it deserves.

Anyway, just putting it out there. I know everyone will have their own take - that’s the point of this forum. But if the next few announcements land as expected, this could put the cat amongst the pigeons very quickly.
