Just installed 50kw of battery tied to my 3 solar systems total 14.7 KW I wont have a power bill. So will pay for itself in a few years . My 3 x solar systems have paid for themselves and more . Back up protection on 1 circuit in my house that covers all my fridges, freezers, aquariums and some lights.. A full battery will last a couple days . I decided against off grid as cost was way more . The supply charge cost will more than be covered by my feed to the grid. A bonus under the elec provider is free power for 3 hrs a day, so in Summer I can run my 3phase air con for three hrs cool the house for free I set exports from my battery for when I get 15 c a kw over 2 hrs , and then in early hrs of the morning to discharge my battery and receive FIT . Then my solar fills it up during the day and also provides my houshold usage
