on the other hand Au - i have it on good authority that smelters actually have internal recycle streams of copper metal that they use for coolant - you would be aware that copper smelting is exothermic. the native copper could be used by a smelter to break this cycle and actually improve output of the smelter. no cost to melt, use the chemical energy - no?
