If you mean by a gentle giant standing up for his rights after being bashed by the schoolyard bully..... then I guess we are on different wavelengths.
In this example I simple ask the question what would you do in the same situation. This is a scenario where a 'child' is being tormented by another kid usually with some street cred that is upheld by beating on 'weaker children' typical bully tactics, the bully relys on a prey that will not stand up for themselves and this case the norm backfired.
The 'prey' is emotionally distraught as a result of the encounter. Just ask yourself if your child had of been the prey and he/she had of not retaliated would it affect you and/or your spouse. This type of encounter has plenty of emotional problems for the prey and his/her parents that no parents wants to go through.
