duncanjones, you nailed it in the head. it is for those reasons that I do not follow the directors blindly plus most of the directors of small cap companies can easily get options issued to them at a price 10 to 100 times cheaper than the trading price and there is never a need for them to buy stock from the market.
Think if you were a director of a company would you buy a stock from the market when you can easily get options issued to you at a much lower price as a part of your director's fees, salary and incentives. I would not buy from the market if I were a director.
