    hi guys,

Totally agree that we are in need of some long awaited drilling results and some good news to make investing in this company interesting again.

But do not get me wrong I still think that VMS has great potential and given time will give us extraordinary returns.

It is one of my core holdings and will stay that way for some time to come.

For those who are interested I added a link to the Cannington mine in Queensland which is probably the largest producing silver mine and owned by BHP (ofcourse).

    Enjoy the read.

Silver is produced mainly as a by-product of lead/zinc mining operations in Australia, and as a by-product of gold operations in Papua New Guinea. Australia is the world?s 3rd largest Silver producer at 2100 t in 2000, with increases in production coming from BHP Billiton?s Cannington lead/zinc/Silver mine, probably the world?s largest silver mine. Cannington is expected to produce around 6% of global silver when in full production.

Indonesia is also a significant producer, (with silver production increasing along with gold) the world?s 11th largest at 311t in 1998. Papua New Guinea produced 58t. New Zealand produced 22.7 t in 1998, as a by-product of gold operations.

As silver is so intimately linked to Lead/Zinc mining operations, of which Australia is a major producer, further details can be found in the Lead and Zinc discussion
