Do you guys know what a tuff is? Its a basin wide ash fall event that was prevalent i.e. almost continuous while these seams were being laid down. So yes its all crap. You might be lucky to find a meter of high ash coal here and there in the best circumstances but that is it. The rest is a handful of centimeters of coal and a few centimeters of clay.
