STB is describing themselves as having the shallowest high grade potash deposit on the planet-which is true. STB has not drilled deeper holes even in their Colluli deposit that has the shallow potash.

Their 2D seismic and geology survey must have guided them to the second drilling area for the additional shallow potash zone.

I am optimistic about their being potash east of the anhydrite boundary but as South Boulder has stated, this is unknown territory. They may have to drill hundreds of meters to hit potash. This deep potash drilling is technically very demanding (see AAA previous news release where they had to abandon a hole at about 500 m due to technical difficulties, this was mainly due to the temperature differential of the fluids at the deeper depths). As you have stated this would also require a drill that can go to this depth as well. Also, I'm optimistic but of course, not certain of potash being east of the anyhdrite boundary.

Lastly, missing on a hole can have a serious negative impact on the stock price, so why risk it. If there are some negative holes, they would probably release these in a group with the many positive holes.

I believe at this point, South Boulder has enough high grade shallow potash to justify the mine build.

The question that I would like to know the answer to, is why the estimated mine start up date for STB is 2016/2017. Allana has an estimated date of 2013 and even if a one year delay it would be 2014. This of course assumes that everything continues to progress well.
