dajarra4 - I have had the AVQ Chairmans speech on my list of "things to read" for a few days now... needless to say I hadn't read it, so thank you for pointing out that pertinent information!

I guess it would seem like some ducks are indeed quacking, and all we can hope is that the AVQ management don't make Duck Liver Pate in their rush to jam new stock down the quacking ducks throats!!! 8)

that said, I still think the lack of trigger pulling in early March could be an indication that AVQ management, as indicated in the Chairmans speech, aren't gagging to raise cash at the moment, and maybe they will run the gauntlet until late April or early May - and we all know that a lot can happen in that time!

my reasoning for that view is I have previously seen a few cunning boards delay cap raisings when they feel that the market is trying to second guess them - a classic recent example is the last cap raising by KAR - the market was gagging for it and discounting the stock to $6.41 in August 2010 in expectation, the board played hard ball and refused the calls and then 45 days later when KAR was $7.50, they got the cap raising away at $7.00~!! Brilliant - the stock then flew up to $11.00 as unfed mouths bid up the stock.

Needless to say, another angle that may be at play with AVQ is the good old fashioned "farm-in" - if AVQ can find a big partner with deep pockets before the cash runs low, perhaps they can farm down, get the cash they need and retain a decent stake in the Solomons project??

The volume over the last few weeks really does strike me as though this is no plain-jane vanilla operation unfolding at AVQ... I think there is a wee bit of fire behind the smoke!

    time will tell...
