There seems to be a lot of concern about 4bn dollars being a lot of money for a large iron ore project.
A port, rail set and a mine, thats about the right cost I would have thought.
I mean Boddington gold for newmont was $3.2Billion.
As a general rule in the future for mining; Ore bodies will be larger, lower grade and more logistically difficult, hence higher costs and higher commodity prices.
