Just a comment on the carbon tax issue.
If we tax emission from coal fired power stations, and that in turn increases production from gas fired power stations. How will this benefit climate in the long term, if gas becomes short in supply, and humans need to make chemicals from coal in the long term?
The carbon tax seems an exceedingly short sighted policy to me.
