    "Religion is a belief system"

actually, they (religion and belief) have two seperate definitions

religion is the repetition of actions of body, speech or mind.

you can believe in something that you know for sure, or on the other hand, have no supporting evidence for.

if you religiously get up at 6am every morning and make a cup of coffee (or say some prayers, for whatever reason)
the action is not necessarily dependent upon any belief, as in the case of breathing, for example.

arguing using common connotations, misconceptions and convoluted compounded confusions, is bound to create more garden paths.

best to make a start at dropping all the accumulated unecessary baggage and make some attempt at cutting to the core.

why not question the unquestioned acceptance of habitual cultural conventions?
