I just used the float.com.au data last week. Loaded it into FCharts (also free) just to see what it's all about.
On the face of it, the data looks good, although I found some problem figures in the indexes (for example XJO). It's only a few days figures that are wrong, but it would be a pain to clean up across all indexes.
Have not looked further for other data sources, but I'm sure they are out there.
