opalcocky , I don't think Sumitomo would make a takeover of AVQ but until they fully realise that the landowners are never going to grant them land access and SL Govt. is not about to change the country's constitution then all they can do is make noise or sue the govt. They do have projects in other parts of SL like Choiseul.
Maybe AVQ is getting a big financial backer/partner instead of a group of SI and taking these extra weeks to get all contracts paperwork done.
MD R.Mount has been in Vietnam lately getting that progressing along , anyway , this next Q report sould be good.
Like the other poster said , long term AVQ will be heading north and SP now is a bargain.
Once the SL licences are approved and we've got money or a backer on board , then it's up to $1 , no worries.
