I won't lie, the announcement today was below par. CAPEX has grown to $4.6B, production commencement is still over 3.5 years away, and the longer I sit here and think about it, the more I begin to question if SDL is the best bang for your buck out there right now.
I have had a long term sentiment on this for a long time now, but I've decided to take some of my holding off the table today.
I'm not going to start to kick dirt around the SDL forum like a handful of posters here, but it would do us all the world of good if we did some of our own research, i.e. comparisons with other iron companies. Compare their EV and what they are hoping to achieve. Then look at the risks attached. Now look back at SDL. It might be a bit of an eye opening experience.
I'm still going to hold for now, but the BFS is a dissapointment. You would need the rosiest of glasses to see otherwise.
