Thanks Aotea and good initiative going direct to the CEO. I would be surprised if they hadn't looked at ECT but you never know. The briquette plant they propose (Apparently a multi-billion dollar project if you include their plan to produce fertiliser) seems a little retarded, given the advances we have on offer, and the carbon policy already in place in NZ.

They plan to offset the carbon produced by investing in carbon storage research I believe - sounds a bit silly when you can reduce the carbon output during the burn using Coldry product.

BTW for those not in the know, Solid Energy is New Zealands largest coal miner and is government owned.
