Groins good pickup -
I calculate return on a yearly annualised % return.
Which in my case is (1) net proceeds - (2) gross cost of share purchase plus a cost of capital ( I use 7.75%) to get a profit/loss (3).
I then divide (2) into (3), all times 100. Hope this explains.
This measure puts some perspective to my profits and losses.
Hope I got the maths right in the explanation!
