would a combination sbm / axm make sense?

Hi, I'm a shareholder both in SBM (rather large) and AXM (rather small) and while browsing through SBM's latest press releases and documents I had wondered whether a buyout of Apex through SBM would make sense. SBM's Southern Cross operations are approaching the end of their life and SBM has given some rather aggressive production targets which IMO can not be achieved without "external growth". So while I am well aware of all the problems that plague AXM, I feel SBM could have what it takes to turn this into a success. They know how to run a mine profitably, they have the funds to accelerate and fully develop the Wiluna operations and they are looking for takeover targets. I am not a digger (or anything close to) so I would be very happy if somebody could fill me in as to whether there are geological or technical reasons that make a combination rather unlikely. I do not want to get into that boring AXM-is-a-dog debate, I've had that in abundance. Many thanks in advance.
