I have actually very few issues with either Sigma (our main wholesaler)or API staff who I deal with, they are all good people trying to do the best with the policies management gives them. At the moment the whole industry (from manufacturers/wholesalers/pharmacies is based on dog eat dog mentality fostered by short sighted government policy over the last 10 years or so.

The groups like pharmacy alliance will always try and play one wholesaler against the other.

An API & Sigma merger prospect again is likely down the line if it gets much tougher out there. So it will be only one aussie full line wholesaler in the business. Symbion is owned by overseas interests now.
