Thinkinloudly. One of the things Im struggling with is that if Ted ,and more so Jeff, were and are so knowledgeable on sandstone wells and if each is almost assuredly the preeminent technical person in their respective company AND also each is No.1 , or very close to it ,in the pecking order in their company (each has power to push their Board in a certain direction,having more force even in the face of higher opposing numbers ,IMO) then how come these 2 didnt insist that sandstone drilling continue -were they(also) mesmerised by 3,000 bopd plus figures and were prepared to put their gut feelings (based on technical competency,which the others generally lack) aside for 3 years?
If you look at the CVN board members youve got Peter (solicitor),Neil (is he a solicitor also,or an accountant?),Ken-he is not an oil expert and Ted,who certainly is. Surely Teds views count most on who knows how to drill for oil and Teds power at Board level can only be exceeded by Peters(but Ted is the one who has the bigger pile of shares) and Peter is not going to take Ted on on anything technical.
