Nothing initially, other than a likely appreciation in their value.
Takeovers can drag on for ages (especially if regulatory bodies are involved); you'll have the opportunity to sell on market, sell into the bid or do nothing at all. In the case of the latter, after 90% acceptences your shares will be compulsorily aquired.
