Hey Brads20
I have spoken to my personal accountant and also (separate) business accountant. Both have advised me that the CGT discount applies 12months after purchase of ssno, NO RESETTING of the clock with converting to SSN heads, PROVIDED the price to exercise is factored in (1.5c).
eg. I purchased ssno in August (ish) at 4.7, I could pay the 1.5 now if i want and receive the CGT discount if i sell anything after August this year. So long as i add the 1.5c to my cost base, then i am ok.
Having said that, i could do a lot with 1.5c x 600k so i sure aint converting until next year.
I know this conflicts with others advice? I guess we know who's accountant is right when one of gets a please explain letter from the ATO!
