Septa, you've missed one factor regarding charts that is so often overlooked it amazes me.
If there is a sufficient number of trading via technical analysis and charts then that soon becomes a self fulfilling prophesy. If enough charts say, "sell because its going to drop", then the selling makes it drop.
Seems obvious to me.
