I regard the money spent on Nearmap as gone down the drain. It would have made a nice fat dividend but thats history.
The valuation of IPR today relects the Assertion portfolio and a very small value on Nearmap as a wildcard. I think the market has already taken a view on Nearmap and marked the company down accordingly.
In my view IPR should stop putting any more money into Nearmap. It has had enough time to become self funding.
Time to pull IPR out of the dive.
Hopefully this will stabalise the shareprice.
Then pay the winnings from the next assertion win to the long waiting shareholders.
