Liberal voter I am but I never agreed with Howards non-means tested welfare, I don't believe in big handouts to anyone who is working regardless of their income.
The tax cuts were the best thing he did - I think I can spend my own money more wisely than any government ever will.
Howard blew billions on middle class welfare and I think it was a waste. He did however run a surplus and handed over a lot of funds to the current government.
The waste that the ALP have presided over since Rudd then Gillard were elected has been even more disgraceful and it sickens me to this our rich country is actually racking up more and more foreign debt. The government simply has no excuse for this and hopefully at the next election ALP and Greens will be consigned to Opposition for a long long time.
