Trading rooms (traders not corporate sales) is the most transparent meritocracy you can have. Performance is laid out in the daily profit and loss. Subjective performance measurement in unnecessary. And all the trading rooms I have worked in have been dominated by men.
As to investing I have never worked in funds management so can't comment.
