Hi CR, don't be so sure there isn't anything earth shattering!
GNS's application is on the EPA website you linked to. On its title page is a standard document "REVISON STATUS" box. I notice that the initial for Approved is "TP".
That should bury the scurrilous suggestion previously made on HC by the usual suspect that the Pulp Mill Project Manager, Timo Piilonen, had quit and gone back to Scandinavia.
I also note the increase from 1.1 to 1.3 million tonnes of pulp is purely the improved fibre yield from plantation wood versus native forest wood. Therefore, it tells us that an extra 200,000 tonnes of pulp results from the same tonnage of wood being delivered. That has to improve financial return significantly. A small negative would be a decrease in the amount of black liquor available for energy generation.
