Not much in this really but does sound like they'll make a full bid. If they do at A53c it will just be a waste of time but at least its an opening salvo.

If I was trying to takeover GDO I'd bid low first to try and drag down the $1+ expectations to something like 75-80c. Suffice to say I will be accepting nothing and just waiting to see how this plays out. Froneman will be desperately looking for another bidder, or at least to accelerate some posotove announcements (Ventersburg)..
