I literally had a dream: "GDO will be taken over by BHP." It was a very matter of fact dream, so I thought it might be one of those rare predictive dreams that people sometimes get.

I guess I'm wondering if BHP have a history of aggression in such scenarios. I'm a beginner, so I have no idea. Do BHP take risks and pay high prices in a takeover? Also, I don't even know what BHP do. Do they do gold? If not, I can imagine they would be interested in diversifying into gold given the current POG. If BHP enter the fray against the Chinese, would it drive up the sp of GDO spectacularly?
