Ketogenic diets for seizure control have been around for at least 4 or 5 years, so I'm not sure why the ABC is only just catching this now?
I think your seizures would have to be pretty severe for a doctor to recommend this diet though. It can have a few rather uncomfortable short term consequences (such as 'keytone breath', severe constipation and nausea), and a some more serious long term health implications (largely through a 30% increased risk of heart disease, and kidney stones).
