Tiaro Coal Limited (TCM) is an Australian mining company that listed on the Australian Securities Exchange on 3 March 2008 with company code TCM to undertake exploration for commercially viable coal deposits with the potential to produce metallurgical (coking, PCI) coals from the Tiaro Coal Measures.
Since listing Tiaro has successfully completed coal exploration programmes consisting of a detailed airborne magnetic and radiometric survey to enable better selection of target zones; seismic surveys to define the targets for drilling; drill testing of the targets to define deposits of high value (metallurgical) coal; determination of coal quality; and a regional gravity survey.
Tiaro has welcomed China Qinfa Group (Qinfa) as a strategic partner and key shareholder. Together with Qinfa, Tiaro has formed an equal joint venture company called Australian Minerals Trading Pty Ltd to develop coal and other bulk mineral trading opportunities.
