I will be taking my full allowance.
Look at it as being an investment in the shares that you already own.
Selling some then buying the SPP is a risk, you may not get all of those that you apply for, you will also have to pay tax on the sale of the sold shares.
Better to hold those that you have then buy as many as you can in the SPP IMO.
Look at it this way, what would have been the best thing to do when the last SPP was @ 40 cents?
