re: CVI - Cityview .... BE WARNED Hi Pumper,
Anyone holding this stock for a while has seen
it slowly slipping to its recent lows at 12 cents.
It has been a long slide since its high at $3.95 in
March 2000 ......
-------
Whilst it has seen some added volume since 121102,
there will be some traders ready to dump this one
on its way up again, just happy to get out even.
Look for significant resistance at around:
22 - 25 - 28.5 - 30
No matter what the rampers will tell you about this
stock on the way up, this stock has had a history
of being a thinly traded stock and therefore easy
to manipulate ... BE WARNED.
.... it is thinly traded, therefore moves can be fast,
BOTH ways.
Technically, it seems that the low has been confirmed
and some traders will no doubt will be able to scalp
some profits as it rallies.
In the past, one problem was accumulating enough
stock to make a decent profit in a relatively short time
... that may have changed.
Other considerations for traders, about this stock are:
Management's refusal to clarify its focus for the
company going forward ... is it an oil explorer or a
hi-tech company?
Location of this field in Indonesia will sideline the
longer term traders ... for every Aussie oiler that
has had a success story in Indonesia ... there's
another that has failed to deliver, some even in
the production phase ... consider MXO, KRZ, EEC,
CUE and more.
Corruption is rife in Indonesia and under the current
climate, even CVI's partners would not be immune and
issues of security have not been helped by the recent
Bali incident either ....
Time delay in getting the gas to market ... how many
more wells will it take to prove up this field and how
will CVI's share be paid.
Having considered these risks, there will still be some
scalpers trading this one for a quick buck ... but, watch
for wide bid/offer spreads.
-----
Looking ahead, a significant anniversary in CVI has
occurred on thw 12th December in the past 2 years.
Will this date prove to be important this year, too??
hope this helps some
