OK - I will expand on my one liner...

I heard Buffet a few years ago talk to a bunch of college students and he was asked the question "Do you go to Wall Street much" or something to that effect.

Surprisingly he answered them, hardly ever, in fact I try to keep away from it. Apparently he prefers to work from his tiny office in Omaha, Nebraska.

Then he went on to say this to the students - "You want to avoid anything that makes you want to do something, you want to avoid all activity on the markets."

Then he made the point that the whole financial services industry is founded around share market activity. It is how they make their money. He basically went to the extreme and said that if you keep buying and selling, the brokers will end up with all your money (in fees, commissions etc). OK, probably a bit extreme but when you follow through you get the point.

And then he surprising said this "we hardly ever watch the share price movements of our stocks", but in the same talk gave the impression that he was intimately in tune with what the companies he is invested in (and there are around 70 of them) did. He could quote off his head specific international sales figures for Coke.

So what does this have to do with CCC.

You are probably thinking "oh no, here is another one of those Warren Buffet quoting people". Well you can take or leave Buffet and his approach, but you would be foolish IMO to not give him at least the time considering his age, experience and of course track record.

90% percent of the posts on HC are related to SP movements. I have been on this thread for about a year now, and month after month this has gotten worse - it was actually a great forum to being with.

I know Buffet would probably not invest in a stock as early stage as CCC, but if you think about it, there is compelling long term investment here (yes with risk at this stage, but with that potential for larger returns - you have to take one with the other).

So in that sense, you can take a leaf out of his book with this one (I would probably say that with a 20 mill MCap micro with just hopes and dreams, yes trading might be the way to go if that is your game).

You may disagree with that, and see value somewhere else, and think CCC is all hype and little substance. You may be right or wrong, but at some point you have to stick to your decision. The emotions of fear and greed that are caused by the daily activity, opinions and ideas here are not conducive to clear stock market investing.

I am concerned that there are many people reading these threads that are being burned by trying to play with the pro investors, when in reality they are holding a potentially good long term stock.

The funny thing is this. CCC as an investment has gotten better and better from a fundamental point of view for a whole year now, and while there are questions unanswered even the most ardent critic of management would have to admit that management are not doing a bad job here.

And the other funny thing, which is almost remarkable is this - CCC has dropped from circa 9c - 5c in three months and it seems like the sky is falling (probably because people bought with the expectation that it was going to 20c early this year), but if you have a quick perusal of a number of other key spec mining stocks (look at SSN 23-14c in a few weeks), many have fallen just as much if not more... and people on Hot Copper are still enthusiastic about them!!!

So it appears that there is more emotion here than people care to admit. And now we have even some of the strongest supporters of CCC starting to doubt their investment, at such an early stage of the companies development.

So I guess you have to do what you have to do, but for me I am invested in CCC, I am happy with what management are doing, I think it is a good long term investment from the information I have at this time, and I wish I had spare cash because at this price I would buy more without hesitation.

There is a major difference between buying a business and buying a share, but as someone said above, you have to have the TIME if you want to invest.

No hurry here, just keep pulling the coal out of the ground you guys and keep developing like you are and this investor will be a very happy one.
