good post Rembrandt.... some missed the point...or did not actually read the article....(most likely reason) it was talking about the younger women, unmarried , under age 30....not divorced women....
they said they were sick of waiting for their male partners to make the move and actually buy rather than rent the digs... (sounds like the posters here on hc, all waiting)
men are usually shattered by divorce... I know a few of the cave man males....and there are good reasons why they are alone....they are damn hard to live with... am astounded by the disability numbers.... I know so many men with bad backs on the disability pension...I have yet to come across a female on a disability support...however I know they are out there... I just dont know any myself.. based on my experience it would be the opposite numbers...ie more males on disability support... all those deliberate car crashes, minor crashed, up in Sydney Road, Brunswick, all for the whip lash or bad back claims...
