Pete, hadn't thought of the bank dividends but I'm sure you're right about that being a factor. So many cross-currents at present (currencies, commodities, softening Chinese and US economic reports) that the market is a real mind-boggler at present. Either it didn't used to be this complicated or I had no real idea what was going on.
